Yosuke Isozaki a member of house of rep and an enthusiastic follower of PM Abe insists natural rights of man is not acceptable in Japan because it is based on a tradition of Christianity. Most of Japanese are obviously not Christians and therefore Mr. Isozaki believes that Japanese should have our own values though Japanese voters are not sure what it means because PM Abe avoids stating his thoughts in the Diet while members of opposition parties keep asking his real intention.
Obviously, LDP have a double standard. In the US, P.M. Abe often says “Japan and the US share common values”. When he use this, he see China behind. So, it is natural for us to think the values means full spec of democracy. However Abe’s followers insists democracy is too Western. Or he might mean the shared values are for establishments but not for the rest of 99%. What are values really means? He might believe the cold war still exist. Who knows?
Anyway, to make things clear P.M. Abe should say “Japan, the US and rest of our allies share the same values but not democracy because it … well it is Christian’s value. He estimates his double standard never reveals because they speaks different languages.
LDP hates democracy. According to them, the current constitution is forced by the US. However, they depend on the US forces to defend Japan. They want keep free riding but don’t want give Japanese people full spec of democracy because it is Christian’s value.
For three years PM Abe’s friends are saying natural rights of man is not suitable for Japanese. I am totally sick and tired to hearing the phrase. If Mr. Trump became President of the US, American people might share the same stress.
